Our recent paper about the spin wave excitation by spin current in magnetic insulator thin films has been accepted and published on Physical Review Letters (link).
This paper predicts a new type of surface spin waves (highlighted as in the yellow panels in the picture on the right) induced by the easy-axis surface anisotropy, and the required excitation current is small while the resulting excitation power is large.
