In this paper, we predict a new type of indirect dynamical spin-spin interaction between two quantum dots that reside in a common electron continuum bath with a rotating magnetic field applied. The two dots are coupled in the following way: spin is pumped to the continuum from one quantum dot due to the rotating field, the pumped spin is then absorbed by the other dot, and vice versa.  As the internal dynamical processes are involved in the quantum dots, such type of dynamical coupling is different from the RKKY coupling, which is a static coupling through the continuum states. The strength of the dynamic coupling is tunable via the magnitude of the rotating field. This new dynamical coupling can be applied to construct a controllable Bell state.

Congratulations to Vahram!
