ABOUT OUR GROUP | ||||
Our group was established in January 2012. Our research interests center on understanding the strongly correlated electron phenomena in novel d- and f-electron materials. These phenomena include superconductivity, magnetism, and effects arising from their interplay, heavy fermion behavior, and non-Fermi liquid behavior. We primarily apply muon spin rotation/relaxation (μSR) to the study of local magnetic and electronic properties of materials. The μSR experiments are performed at TRIUMF in Vancouver, Canada, PSI in Villigen, Switzerland, ISIS in Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, United Kingdom, and J-PARC in Tokai, Japan. Recently, CSNS in Dongguan, China, is planning to build a muon beam line. Hopefully, we can perform μSR experiments in China in the future! We have facilities for preparing and characterizing polycrystalline and single-crystal samples, and for measuring the transport, thermal and magnetic properties of these materials over a wide range of temperature and magnetic field, including PPMS with dilution refridgerator (DR), VSM, and many furnaces. |
